How to hookup my MacBook Pro to my TV?

Question

I’d like to watch TV episodes that I missed on the web, but hook my macbook up to my TV.  I have an “old-fashioned” non-HD TV.  What do I need to make this happen?

I also do have an HD TV but not where my treadmill is could you answer both cases?

Answer

To hookup the old style TV it is not looking good. For the sake of your sanity I’ll spare you details. If you’re interested in details you can read this post.

As far as the HD TV hookup, it should be a lot easier. Watch this video.
Purchase this cable…

Not the preferred answer I’m sure, but an answer none the less.

If you find anything different let me know.

Thanks for asking!
